Traveling with your furry friend can be a great experience, but it’s important to ensure their safety while on the road. Fiore Toyota’s Doggy Travel Tips:
Use a restraint:
- Whether it’s a crate, seatbelt, or harness, a restraint will prevent your dog from roaming around the car and distracting the driver.
Keep them hydrated:
- Make sure your dog has plenty of water and take frequent breaks for them to stretch their legs and go potty.
Don’t let them stick their head out the window:
- While it may look cute, allowing your dog to stick their head out the window can lead to eye injuries or ear infections.
Pack their essentials:
- Bring along food, treats, a leash, waste bags, and any medication your dog may need.
Check your destination’s pet policy:
- If you’re staying at a hotel or rental property, make sure they allow pets and what their specific policies are.
