2016 was another record setting year for Toyota in North America. Vehicle production climbed to 2.1 million units; a 4.4 percent increase over 2015. Why the increase? Other than Toyota being an amazingly reliable brand, low gas prices, high demand for trucks and SUVs, and stability in the economy have contributed to the growth.

“Our success is driven by the talent and dedication of the men and women who manufacture our products here in the U.S.,” said Jim Lentz, CEO of Toyota Motor North America (TMNA).  “Every part and every vehicle that rolls off the line reflects our commitment to safety, quality, value, and, above all, our passion for exceeding customer expectations.”

Toyota North America has produced more than 30 million cars, trucks, and SUVs since 1986. The North American Toyota plants are located in Cambridge (Ontario), Georgetown (Kentucky), Princeton (Indiana), Buffalo (West Virginia), and Huntsville (Alabama) and produce popular models like the Avalon, Camry, Corolla, Highlander, RAV4, Sienna, Tacoma, Tundra, Yaris, and Yaris iA.
