According to Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc. recently announced the brand’s total sales results from February, and overall the Toyota Division’s sales reached 166,618 units. This total exceeds the total from February 2015 by 5.2 percent.
“Light trucks continue to drive strong demand in 2016,” said Bill Fay, group vice president and general manager for the Toyota division. “The Toyota division had back-to-back, best-ever light truck monthly records, supported by another best-ever month in February for RAV4.”
Along with the overall brand increase, a number of Toyota’s individual vehicles also had experienced positive sales results. Two of the best sellers were the RAV4 and the Highlander selling 25,523 units and 12,466 units respectively. These totals represents the best-ever February results for both vehicles.
Additional Highlights:
- Corolla up 5.4 percent with sales of 29,342 units
- Land Cruiser up 11.7 percent with sales of 229 units
- 4Runner up 32 percent with sales of 8,746 units
- Sequoia up 11.4 percent with sales of 954 units
- Tacoma up 14.5 percent with sales of 14,172 units
- Sienna up 5.5 percent with sales of 11,541 units
