For the first time in Toyota history, North American annual production broke the two million mark with the production of 2,035,028 vehicles in 2015. In addition to this impressive total for the production of vehicles, the brand also reported that 1,933,702 engines were produced throughout the year.

2015 Production Highlights:
- Mexico – The Baja California assembly plant significantly increased operation to accommodate demands for the Tacoma.
- Texas – Began production of the Tacoma
- Indiana – 4 millionth vehicle produced
- Alabama – 4 millionth engine built and V76 engine production increased
- Mississippi – 500,000th Corolla Produced
