Toyota North America Announced Production of Two Million Vehicles In 2015

For the first time in Toyota history, North American annual production broke the two million mark with the production of 2,035,028 vehicles in 2015. In addition to this impressive total for the production of vehicles, the brand also reported that 1,933,702 engines were produced throughout the year.

“Our products are a direct reflection of our team members’ dedication and talent,” said Jim Lentz, CEO of Toyota North America. “Each vehicle that rolls off the line is an example of our commitment to safety, quality, value and above all our relentless focus to exceed customers’ expectations.”

2015 Production Highlights:

Mexico – The Baja California assembly plant significantly increased operation to accommodate demands for the Tacoma.
Texas – Began production of the Tacoma
Indiana – 4 millionth vehicle produced
Alabama – 4 millionth engine built and V76 engine production increased
Mississippi – 500,000th Corolla Produced
