As we mentioned in last week’s blog, in celebration of the Olympics, Toyota has asked the world to join together to support United Way. The global non-profit organization works to make positive changes in communities by educating and offering opportunities to the less fortunate. With a focus on health, education, and income, United Way has more than 2.6 volunteers and 9.6 million donors across the globe.
In order to raise money for such an incredible community-based organization, Toyota has created a new social campaign called #LetsJoinHands. Every time someone created a video with the hashtag, Toyota pledged to donate $20 to United Way. In total, Toyota managed to raise and donate $250,000 to United Way!
