Another month of sales increases was seen by Toyota Motor Company in October making this one of the best October’s for the company. A total of 157,225 units sold last month which is a 7.5% increase over the same month in 2013. Additionally, this now marks the 10th month that Toyota has been the top retail brand.

“October vehicle sales were the best for the month in 10 years as an improving economy and lower gas prices drove strong SUV sales,” said Bill Fay, Toyota division group vice president and general manager.  “At Toyota we also saw a big jump in Camry sales thanks to the successful launch of the new 2015 model.”

Additional October Highlights:

  • Highlander sales increased by 30%
  • Corolla sales increased by 5.6% with 24,959 units sold
  • Toyota Pickup sales increased by 12% with 22,500 sold
  • Toyota SUV sales increased by 21.6% with 43,961 sold
  • RAV4 sales increased by 22.4%
  • 4Runner sales increased by 38.1%
