According to Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) U.S.A. Inc., the Toyota Division sold a total of 212,908 units during May 2015. Additionally, the brand’s Daily Selling Rate (DSR) for the month increased by 2.2 percent over their DSR from May of 2014.
“Strong May results boosted the industry to the best sales pace since last summer,” said Bill Fay, Toyota Division group vice president and general manager. “Toyota Division light trucks reported a best-ever May, helping Toyota to over 200,000 units for the month.”
Toyota May Sales:
- Sales of the Highlander increased by 25.2 percent
- Sales of the Camry reached close to 44,000 units
- Sales of Toyota light trucks increased by 13.5 percent and set a new May record
- Sales of the RAV4 increased by 22.8 percent with 28,808 units
- Sales of the Corolla reached 36,768 units
- Sales of the Tundra and Tacoma reached a combined total of more than 29,000 units
