When you think of Toyota, you need to think safety. The technology that Toyota has invested into the 2016 model year leaves no question that this vehicle has unsurmountable safety protection, when it comes to avoiding any frontal collision. Come on down to Fiore Toyota today and see for yourself the incredible features this vehicle has to offer on your test drive. Our showroom is a short journey from State College, Johnstown, Altoona and Indiana, PA. Visit us at 1000 Logan Boulevard in Hollidaysburg, PA.

First let’s introduce you to the PCS or Pre-Collision System, Toyota’s Safety Sense C – available on select 2016 models. If this advanced alert system determines that another vehicle is too close to the front of the vehicle and could possibly cause a collision, the alert system will prompt the driver to apply the brakes by using an audio and visual alert. The PCS uses an in-vehicle camera, as well as a laser radar to avoid any collision. This system is fully enabled at 10 MPH and up to 87 MPH. If the driver does not brake in time, the Brake Assist System may automatically apply the brakes for you by bringing the vehicle to a complete stop, which will then retain the vehicle at a full stop for 2 full seconds.

The other safety sensor that has been added to the 2016 select Toyota models is the Safety Sense P, (PD) or Pedestrian Detection sensor. This sensor is engaged at 7MPH with speeds up to 50MPH. The Pedestrian Detection protection function will sense a pedestrian by using an audio and visual alert prompted by a millimeter wave radar that measures distance and in-vehicle camera. The PD Utilizes the Brake Assist System in the same manner as the PCS sensor as mentioned above.
