Two simple steps. That’s all there is between you and a squeaky clean steering wheel. Why clean the steering wheel you ask? Just think about all the nasty dirt, germs, body oil, and anything else your hands come in contact with during the day. All of that is transferred to the steering wheel whenever you drive. Disgusting, right?
Luckily, like we said, it’s easy to clean. First, use a damp cotton cloth with a small amount of leather cleaner to loosen and wipe away any dirt and grime on the surface. Rinse the cloth and use it to wipe down the wheel a second time before drying with a soft towel. Second, if your steering wheel is wrapped in leather use your hands to apply a small amount of leather conditioner to surface. Let it sit for about 30 minutes then use a clean towel to wipe away the excess. Maintain a clean wheel between deep cleans with prepackaged quick wipes.
