As a dealership, we believe it is important to give back to the community as much as we can when we can. Fiore Toyota is proud to announce that in December of 2017, we presented a $17,000 donation to the Logan Township Police Department in support of further community safety.

With constant support from the community for the past 27 years, the Fiore family and the rest of the team believes that this is a great way to show the same support that they have received. The donation will be used to purchase a new K-9 for the force and will also help cover some of the maintenance costs of the K-9, as well. This donation will allow Logan Township Police Department to add a second K-9 to its roster.

As an avid dog loving family, Dan Fiore said, “It’s hard to find something that would effect all of the people of Blair County, which is basically our community that we serve.” The Fiore family knew donating to this cause would work for everyone in the family and felt this was their chance to really give back to their surrounding community.

As a team and a family within this community, we are beyond honored and proud to be able to make this donation and further the safety within our community. We look forward to continuing serving the local community for many more years to come. And, we would like to express our gratitude and respect for the Logan Township Police Department that works diligently to ensure the safety of our community day and night.

One of my favorite holidays is here – the 4th of July! Why? Well, I believe the 4th serves two purposes. One, the celebration of America’s independence. Two, the official start of summer! Both are great reasons to get excited over and perhaps you have a day off a work! There, now you have THREE reasons to be excited! And with this holiday, us Americans love to celebrate with fireworks! This week I have your guide to watching those awe-inspiring, jaw-dropping firework shows from the comfort of your beloved Toyota! Follow below and let us know of any tips/ tricks you’ve picked up along the way!

First things first, is a great viewing spot. You want to find a location that you and the family will be able to “ooh” and “ahh” all those beautiful color explosions in the sky! Steer clear of heavily wooded areas or any place that may have a lot of trees obstructing your view. Look for an area that overlooks the area that is hosting the fireworks show! Also, once you find that spot – make sure to put your parking brake on so there are no unexpected surprises.

So, we have the perfect spot but what do you need to bring along? If you have a Toyota SUV or Truck, set up camp in the back seats or tailgate. You’ll want to stay comfy, bring a few blankets, pillows, and a sweatshirt in case it gets a little chilly. Don’t forget the snacks, either! If you plan to watch from the front seat of your Toyota, recline the seats, and enjoy the show!

Pro-tip! If you are in an area that may be buggy – keep your windows closed! You’ll still get the same view of the show without all those pesky bug bites!

If you’re asking me, the answer would be what kind of accessories I plan on buying to customize my new ride and maximize ultimate comfort. This week, I will be your accessories guru and I am bringing you some of the most popular accessories that we know Toyota drivers love! Depending on which vehicle you drive you accessories may vary – for example, we’re not putting running boards on a Camry. You get the picture, certain vehicle’s, shapes, and sizes warrant certain accessories. So, let’s get into it!

Roof Rack Cross Bars

Why you want ‘em – having a roof rack will increase your ability to bring more cargo along for those summer road trips or even free up a little room inside the cabin. When it comes to buying a new vehicle there is one important step, test driving. Before you spend a big chunk of change you want to know if this “new ride” is perfect for you, and just because the vehicle looks great in pictures and on paper doesn’t mean it is the right fit for you. This week we have some tips on what to look for or ask when it comes to test driving. You’ll want to test the comfort, design, smoothness of the ride during the test drive. And no matter what anyone one says, go into a test drive with an open mind and allow yourself to form your own opinions.

When you have decided on a vehicle test drive be sure to bring your driver’s license and proof of insurance. In order to take a test drive, we will need to know that you are a licensed and insured driver. Don’t forget these or you may have to wait to take a spin around the block!

Tips:

• Entering the vehicle: Is the vehicle easy to get into? Do you have enough room to enter and exit the vehicle without bumping your head? Can you maneuver easily? – These are important things to note. If you are having a difficult time, you may want to look at a vehicle with a little more space. Sometimes comparing two different sized vehicles can help you decide which is a better option to fit your lifestyle.
• The Ride: How does the vehicle ride? Is it easy to steer? Is there any cabin noise or blind spots that hinder your sight? How does the vehicle brake, do you feel comfortable with the vehicle’s ability to come to a stop? – The ride is one of the most important things to look at during a test drive. You want to feel comfortable and confident in the vehicle you take home, it is important to test for features that will enhance this.
• After The Test Drive: What is the maintenance schedule and how much are those services? Does the vehicle have a warranty? – Asking questions after the test drive will give you a better feel for the vehicle and how much maintenance the vehicle needs and what you may need to pay for. Your salesperson can answer all and any questions that may come up during the car buying process. Don’t be afraid to ask, you need to know all the details about the vehicle that you are purchasing.
• Take Time: There is no rush when it comes to buying a vehicle, our goal is to sell you a vehicle you love for a price your wallet will appreciate! If you need to take a second test drive, by all means, take one! We are here to help you get into the perfect vehicle.

Spring has sprung and summer is just right around the corner. And maybe you skipped that spring cleaning you planned for your vehicle. That’s alright – we’re here with some tips to clean your vehicle and get you in tip-top shape for the upcoming summer heat!

• Start off your cleaning with a clean slate and wash your vehicle! Don’t let all that built up dirt, grime, and pollen affect you any longer. Stop at the carwash or give your vehicle a scrub a dub at home! Either way, show your vehicle some TLC and get it sparkling like new again!
• Empty out your vehicle! Trash or recycle the items that you no longer use or never needed in the first place. Don’t forget about your trunk – your trunk can become a place for unnecessary items to pile up. Once your vehicle is empty, vacuum out your trunk, seats, carpet, and mats.
• Wash, wash, wash – give your carpets and upholstery a scrub down. For your seats, use a microfiber cloth and the correct cleaning solutions to get rid of any stains or built up dirt. Do the same if you have carpet floor mats. If you have all-weather mats, you can spray them off with the hose and scrub with car soap.
• Air vents need love too – take your vacuum to all of your air vents to rid them of any loose dirt particles that have built up. Once you are done, wipe your vents with a wet cloth to get any remaining particles.
• Check your tire pressure! When you are cleaning out your vehicle it is always a good idea to check the tire pressure in all four tires. If your tires need some air, our service department can assist you with that. Or you could also stop at your local gas station to fill up the tires!

Lastly, add an air freshener! Get your car smelling cleaning like a fresh summer breeze with one or a few of these handy little things!
