It’s 2018 and we live in a very digitally advanced world. We are surrounded by technology everywhere we look and even our vehicles have impressive technology features that we never thought possible. But what is the point if you don’t know how to work that technology. Or if you’re not even sure what it can do. Well, that’s what I’m here for – you can think of me as your technology guru for all things Toyota. This week we take an in-depth look at the infotainment system that you Toyota is equipped with.

While most models infotainment systems vary by model, most of the Toyota models offer a 6.1- or 7-inch touchscreen. Along with features like Bluetooth, AM/FM radio, USB ports, and auxiliary inputs. But if you’re looking to upgrade consider adding features like satellite radio and the capability to use Scout GPS navigation via your compatible smartphone.
Like we said before, most models offer both screen sizes like the Yaris, Corolla, Tacoma, Tundra, Highlander, and Prius. Meanwhile, the C-HR only offers the 7-inch touchscreen and the 4Runner, Prius C, and Sequoia offers the 6.1-inch screen. But if you’re looking for a little bit of a bigger screen, the Land Cruiser offers a 9-inch display.
Many of the newer Toyota models feature the impressive Entune 3.0 system. This updated infotainment system features AM/FM radio, Bluetooth, auxiliary and USB inputs. Plus, with the Entune app, your smartphone can access apps such as Pandora, Slacker, NPR One, and Scout navigation. And, you’ll find a built-in navigation option on select Toyota models. This system is different from the display that we previously talked about. If you’re looking to purchase a vehicle with Entune 3.0 infotainment system look for these models: Avalon, Sienna, RAV4, and the Camry.
Apple CarPlay is a new feature to the Toyota brand and currently is only available in the new Corolla Hatchback. But more is coming! Toyota is working hard to get more technology features standard in their newer models. So, keep an eye out – more impressive technology is coming!
